Once again the court is compelled in its constitutional duty to give effect to legislations that tendered to aid colonial administration without hindrance from its subjects. The Public Lads Acquisition Ordinance (Cap113) came to the limelight for the Appeal Court’s decision in the above case. The summary of the case was that the plaintiffs acting as the representatives of the Fievie State of Sogakope leased out a portion out of a larger tract of land in favour of the defendants.
